Training Video Contest

Description:

We know you’ve been training all year for Urban Adventure Games 2011 since this will probably be the highlight of not only your summer, but of your whole entire year!  We want to see all of the hard/not so hard work that you have put into training for Urban Adventure Games 2011.  In order to do so we have decided to implement a video contest!

Compose a Short Video:

Compose a short video (seriously, when we say short, we mean short- we have lives) depicting how you have been training for Urban Adventure Games.  Why make a video you may ask?? Well, we will tell you.  First, it is a good intimidation factor.  Other teams will watch your video and automatically fear you come July 30.  Second, it is a good way to, well, actually train for the race. Third, you can win a nifty prize – a pair of i-Pods - 8GB iPod Touch (Black), and an 8GM iPod Nano (Green). One for you and the second for your partner/producer/BFF/whoever!  It’s up to you who gets what.  Lastly, why make a video?  It’s fun, okay?!

Submit Your Video:

To stir up those creative juices in your head we have compiled a series of mock training videos so that you can get a few ideas of what we’re looking for. (No copying though!)  We will launch our first promotional video on June 2, and will continue to launch one new video per week until June 30.  The deadline for submission of your original training videos is 11:59 PM (EST) July 8. 

Upload your video to YouTube and e-mail a link to us at UrbanAdventureSouthBend@gmail.com

Then, complete the Urban Adventure Games online submission form.

Make the Cut:

We will then have our world renowned judges (AKA the Urban Adventure Games Committee) review all of the entries and select the finalists.  Finalists will be determined by creativity and how you depict the Urban Adventure Games spirit/attitude.  Finalists will be announced on July 11 and voting on the finalists’ videos will be open from July 11 - 27. 

After evaluating all video submissions, Urban Adventure Games organizers will post a selection of videos at www.UrbanAdventureGames.com on July 11.  Notification of finalists will be sent via our e-newsletter, Facebook, and Twitter.  Also, it wouldn’t hurt to check the Urban Adventure Games website to see if your video’s made the first cut.  These videos will be eligible for a pair of i-Pods - 8GB iPod Touch (Black), and an 8GM iPod Nano (Green).

Rock the Vote:
If your video makes the first cut and is posted on the Urban Adventure Games website, get your friends, family, and everyone else to vote for your entry online! The online voting period will conclude at 11:59 pm (EST) on July 27.

The top vote-getter will be announced on July 29 and screened to all Urban Adventure Game racers fans at the awards ceremony. Winner must be present to claim their prize.

Feel free to get as creative and whimsical as you would like!  However, we have to set a few ground rules.
