In 2008, a group of community leaders decided to do something about the often asked question, "what is there to do in South Bend?". Urban Adventure Games became the answer. The games are a way of showcasing the many activities, locations, and hidden gems throughout the South Bend, Mishawaka, and Notre Dame areas. Expect to challenge your mind and body as well as get a refreshing view of the city.
The Urban Adventure Games is a thrilling, zany, action-packed exploratory race. Participants pair up in teams of two to embark on an "Amazing Race" in a day. Racing around the city, participants will run, bike, slide, climb, swim and do so much more on their way to a number of checkpoints spread across the South Bend area. The name of the game is to make it to all checkpoints and complete all tasks in the least amount of time.
A 501(c)(3) charitable organization was created to ensure that this event was about community, not profit. Our current team includes community organizers, business owners, and outdoor enthusiasts.
